Explosion of Joy
That spark, that burst of life - of creation - is a source of constant wonder to me. How does a seed, tiny as a grain of sand, host the amount of pure energy force to birth the most amazing array of life; that burst of growth in so many forms, from fish, to fowl, to human?
I have practised yoga and meditation for many years and have great respect for the power of healing energy; our inner journeys are the most potent ones we can experience, yet the most difficult to share, to put an image to except in the most abstract of forms.
In this series I am exploring energy, not the actuality; the force, the life, movement, in acrylics on a cradled birch panel.
In each piece I have used metallic pigments peeking from the backgrounds to make the pieces glow; I experience sheer joy as I work/play and I feel that this energy emanates from all of the pieces to lift any space they might grace.
